Welcome back, 2W become outdoor explorers.

Welcome back to the Summer Term and we hope you all had a lovely break.
2W may have only been back three days but the boys have had a busy week!
In Literacy, they have been writing some fantastic character descriptions based on Roald Dahl’s ‘The Twits’- a brilliant book for boys. We have been concentrating on writing extended sentences with more adjectives and adverbs in.
In Science, we have started our topic on Plants and animals in the local environment by going on a plant and animal hunt in the playground. We were all surprised by the number and diversity of living things we found.

Dinosaur Day!

On Monday the whole of Year 2 gathered together to celebrate the end of thier Dinosaur topic with a day of creative dinosaur activities. The boys worked through a carousel of Art and DT crafts, from dinosaur door hangers, split pin raptor puppets to mod roc dinosaur and fossil bones and artstraw skeletons. They also worked in groups to create a pterodactyl! The boys and staff had a terrific day!
